Easy logic puzzles

If the full Einstein’s riddle looks like too much, start here. These easy logic puzzles use the same rules with a smaller street: three or four houses and three things to work out for each neighbour.

The first three have three houses and lean on direct clues. The rest add a fourth house and more “next door to” and “left of” clues, which is where most of the fun in harder puzzles comes from.

A taste of puzzle 1

3 neighbours live in houses 1 to 3. Here are its clues:

  1. House 2 has the yellow door.
  2. Finn lives behind the blue door.
  3. The cocoa drinker 🍫 lives behind the blue door.
  4. Dev lives in house 2.
  5. The tea drinker 🍵 lives in house 3.

How to solve an easy logic puzzle

Place the certain facts first: a clue like “Cleo lives in house 1” is a free move. Then use the rule that every house has exactly one of each thing. If a house has only one option left in a row, that option belongs there, and it can’t be anywhere else.

Clues that link two things, such as “the cat owner drinks tea”, are worth rereading every time you learn something new about either of them. Our guide on how to solve logic grid puzzles covers the rest.

Where are the answers?

Each puzzle page has the full solution in a closed box at the bottom, so you can check your grid without seeing it by accident. In the game, the Hint button explains the next step instead of just giving it away.
